Stretching over some 400 km2, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. They include the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations. UNESCO has set up a wide-ranging programme to safeguard this symbolic site and its surroundings. Till now you didn’t visit this place then plan it soon to hold the architectural experience. The best things to see and do in a unique place. Keep on reading.
Go Temple-hopping around Angkor Wat:
Expect a few temples, you can visit any of the temples at any time in a day. But in few,  one of the temples is Angkor Wat where you should visit early in the morning at the time of sunrise which is the most amazing view.  Angkor Wat is the largest religious site on Earth and was recognized as the wonder of the world.  Moreover, you go for a hilltop complex like Phnom Bakheng at dawn to avoid crowds (most people visit here at sunset). It’s best to do most of your exploring before the midday sun hits, although the ‘Tombraider Temple’, Ta Prohm, is a good one to go to in the afternoon, as it’s shaded (read: half-eaten) by tightly-knotted banyan trees.

Get some context at Angkor National Museum:

It is the Golden Era of the Khmer Kingdom, one of the ancient civilizations of this world was being created. It was the origin of Khmer art, culture, and architecture. These great inventions became one of the few wonders of the world that still amaze people throughout generations that still hold a great impact in present Cambodia society. It might be better to go before you visit the Angkor complex.
